We design high-performance buildings that align with the values of our forward-thinking clients.  Striving to design at the highest quality standards available, we are one of the few architecture firms certified by the International Passive House Institute in Canada.

Passive House certified buildings create savings on energy costs by harvesting sunlight, retaining heat, and supporting flexible uses. In addition, by implementing Passive House principles we can help minimize the environmental impacts of construction and long-term building maintenance.

Expertise

Since 2007, our work at Flechas Architecture has been guided by our enthusiasm for innovative design and building processes that incorporate both, sustainable practices and our clients’ needs.

To ensure the efficient performance of our projects, our senior staff is thoroughly involved at all stages, from design development to construction; ensuring the stringent implementation of all the technical detailing required for Passive House certification. To elevate conventional construction methods, we develop new construction details in collaboration with builders and energy consultants. At the development stage, these details are discussed and visualized in 3D, ensuring all aspects of implementation are covered and fully understood by all parties.

Always including sustainable features, we design and build a variety of building types: commercial, industrial, special needs residential, healthcare, building envelope remediations, and single and multi-family residential. Our 14 years of accumulated experience allows us to successfully accomplish such breadth of projects, as we have the agility to deliver successful planning applications on complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and we have developed strong working relationships with top construction industry consultants and builders.
