Flechas Architecture is led by Oscar Flechas, an Architect with more than 15 years of experience in development, functional programming, design, construction documentation and contract administration for a variety of building types including special needs residential, health care, commercial, industrial, building envelope remediation and single family houses. In 2004, Oscar started Flechas Architecture as a progressive, small and young studio that uses simple and creative design solutions to produce environmentally responsible and innovative results. We are a fully licensed architecture firm and member of  the Alberta Association of Architects and the Architectural Institute of BC.

At Flechas Architecture, we believe, promote and include sustainability in every project. We aim to deliver superior projects by first evaluating the client’s needs and paying attention to the particular site including the building orientation, massing and the use of natural light and ventilation.

We believe the Passive House (Passivhaus)  is one of the most stringent energy efficient standards at the moment and strive to design buildings that meet or use the principles required by the standard.

We believe we can make our the places where we live and work more sustainable, accessible, equitable, and appealing. Our vision is to create architecture that responds to our client’s needs, connects people to their community and makes the best possible use of natural and human resources.

Our work is supported by our enthusiasm for the design and building processes, the creative use and reuse of new and existing buildings and the importance of new practices and techniques.
